MoreThanWords BV ("we," "our," or "us") operates PixelAcademy, an online photography and photo editing course platform, at pixelacademy.ezycourse.com, pixelacademy.photo, and pixelacademy.be (collectively, the "Services"). 4. Marketing Communications

With your consent, we may use your email address to send you marketing communications, including information about new courses, promotions, and updates from PixelAcademy and/or MoreThanWords, the parent site. With the same consent, we may also share your email address, in encrypted (hashed) form, with advertising platforms such as Facebook and Instagram (Meta), so that we can show you and similar audiences more relevant PixelAcademy content and offers on those platforms.

We will ask for your explicit consent to marketing emails at the point of account creation or checkout, via a clearly unticked checkbox — consent is never bundled with, or required for, course access.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email, or by contacting us at [email protected]. If you withdraw your consent, you will no longer receive marketing emails, including news about new course launches, course updates, or discounts, and we will stop sharing your data with advertising platforms for these purposes.
Withdrawing consent to marketing does not affect your access to purchased courses or any transactional emails necessary for the Services (e.g., receipts, essential updates about a course you are enrolled in, password resets), which we send under a separate legal basis and which you cannot opt out of while your account remains active.

5. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:

Service providers who help us operate the Services, such as our course hosting platform (Ezycourse), payment processor, and email service provider, under data processing agreements
Advertising platforms, such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), where you have consented to marketing — your email address is shared in encrypted (hashed) form to help us show you relevant ads and reach similar audiences
Legal authorities, where required by law or to protect our legal rights
Business transfers, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to equivalent data protection safeguards
